What you'll learn
Most of your learning happens with your hands in the soil. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you'll work through every stage of growing food and bringing it to market.
- Crop production — soil preparation, planting, watering, and caring for healthy crops.
- Pest & disease management — protecting your crops using safe, sustainable methods.
- Nursery operations — raising strong seedlings from seed to transplant.
- Post-harvest handling — harvesting, grading, and storing produce so it reaches market in top condition.
- Farming as a business — planning, costing, and selling what you grow.
